In the Lakers last 10 games, they are 8-2 including a big win against the Bucks on the road. A big reason why the Lakers fortunes have turned around is because of the stellar play of Anthony Davis.
He’s played in nine of the Lakers last 10 games and in those contests, he’s yet to shoot under 50% in any game. He scored 318 points, grabbed 140 rebounds and blocked 26 shots over that stretch. This has been production everyone dreamed of since Davis went #1 overall in the 2012 NBA Draft.
Because of this, there’s an uptick in an otherwise disappointing stretch of card prices for Davis. In the last year, his 2012 Prizm Silver RC PSA 10 decreased 36%, but since the 2022 low of $1,800 at the end of October, it increased 66% with the most recent sale of $3,000. Where his cards go from here depends on Davis’ health moving forward.
Davis has always played well when he’s been on the court, but he has missed 20 or more games each of the last four seasons. While this nine game stretch is nice, it feels as though we’re always one injury away from forgetting this amazing stretch of games ever happened.
