The first big products of 2023 are slated to be released tomorrow with both 2022 Panini Flawless Baseball and 2022 Topps Chrome F1 coming out. The one pack hitter is Flawless Baseball includes 10 cards per box; each box on average comes with 7 autos, two memorabilia cards and one gem card. Base cards have a new two gem design and are numbered to 20 or less. There a quite a few different autograph cards that can be pulled including Rookie Patch Autos, Signature Prime Materials, Shadow Signatures and Dual Signatures. New this year is the patriotic themed USA Gems Signatures. Once again, it’s a Panini Baseball release which means it’s not licensed. However, that does mean the nice looking Rookie Patch Autos will be available for a discount.
With the 2023 F1 season approaching fast (testing starts next month), Topps is releasing the third iteration of Topps Chrome Formula 1 (representing the 2022 season). Each box has four cards per pack and 18 packs per box. The 200 card base set features some of the top F1 talents along with up and coming drivers. Zhou Guanyu will be the only featured RC in the set, but there is expectations of F2 Future Stars that could drive some buzz. Logan Sargeant *should* have a Future Stars card, and next year he will be the first American F1 driver since 2015 (signed with Williams). The Pink Refractor /75 is a new addition this year, building off a largely similar parallel list from last year. A new round of inserts include 1968 Hot Rods, Art du Grand Prix, Constructors Coalition and Speed Demons.
