Buster Posey’s illustrious career came to a close last year in 2021 when he retired at the age of 35, but he went out on a high note. In his last season he was an All-Star, he hit .304 with a .889 OPS and won the Silver Slugger as a catcher in the NL. He won three rings and was a 7x All-Star over the course of his career, and that’s more times than his 2008 Bowman Chrome 1st Orange Auto /25 PSA 10 sold over the course of time. This card is just a PSA 10 POP 1, and it’s sold five times since 2016 with the most recent sale occurring on Sunday for an all-time high of $10,200, a 104% increase since the first sale on 5/15/16. Even with Posey being out of the news for quite some time, this card still did big numbers due to its rarity. Sunday was the first time the card sold since 2020.
